Grover Beach police recorded 140 crashes inside the city in 2025. Thirty-four people were hurt. Six of those crashes involved someone on a bike or on foot. None involved an electric bike.

Five people were hurt in these six crashes. One was serious: a 49-year-old who came off her bike on Longbranch Avenue with no vehicle involved. Two of the six involved a driver who hit someone and drove away.
The e-bike question, answeredNot one electric bike appears in a Grover Beach crash report in 2025. This is not a gap in the paperwork. The reporting system has a separate code for electric bicycles, Grover Beach itself used it once in 2022, and San Luis Obispo County recorded eighteen last year. Every bicycle in the city in 2025 was logged as an ordinary bicycle. Whatever is worth worrying about on these streets, the crash record does not point at e-bikes.
